GOLDSTONE DOMINATES 2025 WC DOWNHILL SEASON

Drama unfolded in Mont-Sainte-Anne (MSA), Canada this past weekend as racers gathered for the tenth and final stop of the UCI Downhill World Cup. FOX and Santa Cruz Syndicate rider Jackson Goldstone came into the last race of the season on a knife edge — a mere 72 series points behind five-time World Champ Loïc Bruni. Jackson qualified third fastest behind Bruni and Luca Shaw, with everything coming down to the final run.

Jackson tore through the MSA track, launching into the perilous rock garden so fast he was able to skip over most of the obstacles. He remained completely composed at this speed, hitting every gap with precision and crossing the line over two seconds ahead of his soon-to-be Syndicate teammate Andreas Kolb. The Canadian crowd erupted, knowing this could be the run that Jackson needed to secure his overall World Cup title.

All eyes were on the start gate for Bruni’s run, but after suffering a heavy crash earlier in the day, Bruni made the last-minute decision to withdraw from the race to avoid further injury. Confusion rippled through the crowd, commentary box, and podium hot seat as reality slowly sank in: Jackson Goldstone was the 2025 UCI Downhill World Cup Overall Champion. It was a fairytale ending to a season marked by raw speed, relentless consistency, and composure beyond his years.

ELITE WOMEN STEP UP IN 2025

The Elite Women’s field delivered some of the most dramatic racing of the season, with multiple winners and tight overall battles right down to the wire. FOX-supported rider Gracey Hemstreet put together the most consistent campaign of her career — highlighted by back-to-back wins mid-season and podium finishes at nearly every round. Her second place overall is a career-best result, cementing her as one of the fastest women on the circuit.

Close behind, veteran powerhouse Tahnee Seagrave returned to form with a string of top finishes to lock in third overall in the series. Her resilience and racecraft kept the pressure high all season, showcasing the incredible depth of talent in the women’s field.
