Frequently asked questions

The Step-Cast design narrows the fork chassis by 10mm compared to a standard FOX 32. To maintain clearance for the disc rotor and spokes, the lower leg casting is "stepped", resulting in a system weight under 1,300 grams.

The 32 SC is optimized and strictly limited to 100mm of travel. Because the internal architecture and lower leg castings are shortened to minimize weight, there is physically not enough stanchion length or bushing overlap to safely extend the travel. Riders wanting 110mm or 120mm of travel must step up to the 34 SL.

The latest version of the 32 SC employs clever engineering to increase stiffness by 40% over the previous model while also reducing weight, making it sufficiently stiff for most riders wanting a dedicated 100mm fork. If more stiffness is desired, we recommend going up to the 34 SL.

Due to the Step-Cast design of the fork’s lower legs, the largest rotor size that can fit is 180mm. For the same reason, tire size is also limited to 2.4”.

32 SC is available in remote and non-remote configurations. We suggest the FOX Twin Stick combination suspension lockout lever and dropper seat post lever in conjunction with the 32 SC remote fork.
