Leogang On Lock: Puck Pieterse, Ondřej Cink & Finn Treudler Take XC Wins

The slopes of Leogang were soaked, muddy and punishing, but that didn’t hold back three FOX riders from dominating this past weekend.

Puck Pieterse continued her World Cup dominance with a stunning double victory in both the Short Track (XCC) and Olympic Cross-Country (XCO) races, while Ondřej Cink crossed the line with his first-ever Elite XCO World Cup win. In the U23 Men’s races, Cube Factory Racing’s Finn Treudler rode to victory in both the races in his field.

Pieterse opened the weekend with a textbook short track win on Friday (June 6). Staying safely tucked in the lead group for the early laps, she pounced with a clean and calculated attack mid-race and never looked back, crossing the line 16 seconds ahead of New Zealand’s rising star Samara Maxwell. It was Puck’s third straight XCC win of the season, cementing her as the fastest woman in the world on short course.

On Sunday, Puck took to the mud-lathered XCO course with a dominant performance. She led every lap, opened a gap early, then steadily grew it throughout the race. She crossed the finish line with over 50 seconds on Maxwell. Puck’s resilience to maintain precision and control in tough conditions continues to set her apart. The Dutch champion now leads the World Cup standings in both disciplines, and she’s making it look easy.

  • Puck’s Canyon Lux is set up with a FOX 32 Step-Cast. She chooses a smaller fork chassis for absolute minimum weight for both tracks. Her strong road cycling background has pushed her to make her Lux as light as possible.

In the men’s XCO race, all eyes were on the usual favorites. But Ondřej Cink had other plans. The Czech rider known for his powerful climbing finally broke through for his first career XCO World Cup win. Battling deep mud and slippery roots, Ondřej rode smart and smooth, pulling away in the final laps to take a well-deserved victory. It was an emotional and hard-fought result that added a new chapter to his long career—and marks a huge milestone for Ondřej and his team.

  • Ondřej runs a 110mm Fox 34 SL paired to the Fox Float SL shock and all tied together with the Twin-Stick remote – making this bike light yet able to handle some of the roughest XC tracks.

Finn Treudler absolutely crushed it at Leogang, securing back-to-back wins in the U23 XCC and XCO races over the weekend. Showing incredible speed and stamina, he took control of the race early in both events. His performance not only boosted his World Cup standings but also marked him as a serious contender to watch this season in the U23 category.

Leogang delivered no shortage of drama, grit, and glory. All riders handled the chaos with poise and power, proving that when conditions get messy, true champions rise to the occasion.
